40 Days of Fundraising for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Join Family House’s Young Professionals Advisory Council in supporting kids with cancer by donating to Family House San Francisco. Family House, now in its 40th year, provides a home away from home for families of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses by providing physical comfort and emotional support, free from financial concerns.
Families, caregivers, charities and research groups across the United States observe September as Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. In the U.S., 15,780 children under the age of 21 are diagnosed with cancer every year; approximately 1/4 of them will not survive the disease. A diagnosis turns the lives of the entire family upside down. The objective of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month is to put a spotlight on the types of cancer that largely affect children, survivorship issues, and – importantly – to help raise funds for research and family support.
How to Contribute
YPAC has a goal of raising $20,000 in 40 days to honor Family House’s 40th Anniversary. Every donation makes an impact on the kids staying at Family House while being treated for cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Bubbles & Baseball
Join YPAC for the Bubbles & Baseball fundraiser on Sunday, September 19. A pre-game social will take place from 11am-12pm at The Lawn @ ParkLab Gardens across the street from Family House. We will walk over to the ballpark at 12:05pm, first pitch is 1:05pm. Your ticket includes access to the pre-game social plus a ticket for the ATL @ SF 1:05pm game at Oracle Park and a $25 food & beverage voucher. $20 of every ticket sold will be donated back to Family House San Francisco!
Virtual Wellness Program
Sign up for a virtual wellness program with Danielle Nicole Martinez, featuring nutrition tips, body movement work and a mini bootcamp workout. Sign up for the September 28, 6pm virtual class with a suggested donation of $30 to Family House by choosing “Wellness Activity” in the dropdown.
