Smiles at Family House Annual Summer Carnival

This July, Family House turned up the sunshine and joy with our annual Summer Carnival — a day full of laughter, sweet treats, and unforgettable memories for our families.

We are so grateful to BDO Accounting and Silver Axe Catering and the Fisher family, whose generous support made this special day possible. A heartfelt thank you as well to our incredible Family Services Committee, who brought their time, energy, and creativity to every detail of the event.

From the moment families stepped into the courtyard, they were welcomed by the sounds of music, colorful games, and the delightful aroma of carnival food. Kids lined up for snow cones and ice cream, while families enjoyed delicious BBQ thanks to Silver Axe Catering. Special thanks to Straus Family Creamery for their generous ice cream donation — a huge hit on a warm summer day!

The entertainment kept spirits high all day! Magician Keith Tyran wowed the crowd with mind-bending tricks, and a balloon artist twisted up wild and whimsical creations that had everyone grinning from ear to ear. Throughout the carnival, kids played classic games to win tickets, which they proudly exchanged at the prize table for toys, treats, and surprises.

Events like these are about more than fun — they’re a chance for families to connect, relax, and feel a sense of normalcy while going through some of the hardest moments of their lives.
