Family House had the privilege of serving more than 670 families in need during 2022.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, Family House was able to provide dignity, a caring community, and a home by the hospital for families facing their child\u2019s life-threatening diagnosis. But we cannot do it alone.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n

Together, we have helped so many children and their families get through the most difficult times of their lives. Although 2022 presented many challenges, Family House remained committed to keeping families together by providing a home away from home for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n

Johnny’s Story<\/strong>

When you make a gift to Family House, you are making a direct impact on kids like Johnny.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n

With a free spirit and a heart full of love, 6-year-old Johnny rides his wheelchair around Family House with a giant smile on his face. Four years ago, Johnny was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM) with Calcinosis Universalis. JDM results in weak muscles and impairs physical function in severe cases.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n

\u201cFamily House has been a huge help to us financially and emotionally,\u201d said Johnny\u2019s mom and dad, Martina and Aldrich. \u201cWe feel the homey vibe here.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n

\u201cIt was a relief knowing we had a place to stay, while my son continues his treatment and follow-up appointments at UCSF,\u201d said Martina. Their family came to Family House from Houston, Texas in 2022.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n

Highlights<\/strong>
In 2022, $3,786,456 was spent serving families in need. Diverse income sources and sound fiscal oversight ensure we deliver on our mission and meet annual operating costs of more than $5.3 million.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n

Simultaneously, $4,536,038 was received in 2022 for the Fund for the Future Campaign to ensure long term financial security.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n
