Michelle has a comfortable home to stay close to her daughter Melody, who was born extremely premature at 1lb.

All children deserve space to heal with their families.

Family House had the privilege of serving 3,172 families in need during 2024.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, Family House was able to provide dignity, a caring community, and a home by the hospital for families facing their child’s life-threatening diagnosis. But we cannot do it alone.

Please make a generous gift today to ensure that Family House will continue to provide an 100% free, safe, and compassionate environment so that families can focus on their healing.

Wow – what a year it has been at Family House!

This past year was full of growth, milestones, and incredible community support. We welcomed new families and welcomed back returning ones, grew our team, expanded our volunteer programs, and felt the continued love and generosity of supporters in our community.

Melody’s Story

When you make a gift to Family House, you are making a direct impact on kids like Melody.

When Michelle Cameron gave birth to her daughter Melody at just 23 weeks, weighing only 1 lb 3 oz, her life changed in an instant. After months of living in an RV to stay near UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, Michelle found comfort and stability at Family House—“an absolute dream,” she says—where she’s had a safe place to stay, meals, support, and the chance to be close to her daughter.

“Family House gives us hope, they give us food, and for young kids like mine, they get toys! We’re so thankful for ll the things they provide, especially housing so we can all be together during this medical process.” – Celeste Toledo Duran, who stays at Family House with her family while her newborn is treated for Pulmonary Valve Stenosis at UCSF.
