Drops of Juniper: Rock The House with an Incredible Cocktail or Mocktail!
October 25, 2020
By Susie Heller
Pat Monahan and Train hold a special place in the heart of Family House San Francisco for all the love and support they have shown us and our remarkable families over the years. Their award-winning song, Drops of Jupiter, catapulted Train to superstardom when it was honored as Best Rock Song in 2002 at the Grammy Awards. Now in 2020, as we honor Pat at our Rock The House fundraising gala on November 14th, we hope that you will tap your inner mixologist and whip up this star-quality cocktail as we raise a glass to toast Pat, Train, and Family House.
Drops of Juniper was created by Meg Abraham, creative beverage director of two of our favorite restaurants, Mourad and Aziza. The base is a flavorful syrup of honey, blackberries and the fall flavors of cinnamon, cloves, star anise and rosemary. Add gin and lemon juice, shake with ice and you’ll have a cocktail that is vibrant in flavor and color. Or if you prefer a non-alcoholic version, add lemon juice and sparkling water for a unique refreshing experience.
Let’s raise our glasses together on November 14th as we join together in support of our families as we Rock Family House! #RockFamilyHouseSF
