Dear Friends,

I am writing to announce that after 22 years, I will be retiring from the role as CEO of Family House at the end of 2023.  Leading Family House has been the honor of my life. Although my last day on staff will be December 31, 2023, my commitment to Family House is life-long. I will always be available to support the critical mission that is fulfilled by the Family House staff, board, volunteers, and community for as long as I am able.

Having been hired by Dr. Art Ablin, then-Treasurer Doug Schultz and our own CFO, Jessica Creager in 2001, it’s been a privilege to lead Family House in our growth to house 80 families per night in a new, state-of-the-art building.  I am deeply grateful to our excellent staff and board members with whom I have had the honor of partnering to alleviate some of the stresses of serious childhood illnesses. Without wonderful donors, volunteers, and the greater community, none of our growth would have been possible, and I extend my gratitude to you.

I am announcing my plans early to give our board plenty of runway to hire my successor. We have kicked off a full search process and I am very confident that we will identify someone with the talent, compassion, and drive to advance our critical mission.

Looking forward, the future of Family House is secure and poised for any new direction the board deems appropriate with truly outstanding board leadership and a staff that’s without peer. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to represent the families who so deeply need our services and will hold them close always.  I am certain that Family House will continue to have a profound and supportive impact on those we serve.

With endless gratitude,

Alexandra E. Morgan
