Founded in 1981, Family House serves as a free home away from home for families with children undergoing treatment for cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We provide vital access to life-saving treatment at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, and are 100% funded by our generous community.

My son Kingston had to undergo a liver transplant at five months old. We were so grateful to stay at Family House — it was a beautiful, safe place to stay during his treatment, and they truly made us feel like family.

Unfortunately cancer doesn’t come alone, it comes with bills and driving to the hospital. We are very blessed to have a place to stay, with warm food while our daughter is receiving chemo. Driving 275 miles each way is hard with a sick child.
