Katherine has served as Chief Executive Officer of Family House since 2023, leading the organization with compassion, vision, and a deep commitment to ensuring that no family faces a child’s medical crisis alone. Family House provides a place of comfort, dignity, and belonging for families of children receiving treatment at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, allowing them to focus on what matters most, their child’s care and healing.

Working closely with Family House’s board of directors, staff, donors, healthcare partners, UCSF colleagues, volunteers, and the broader San Francisco community, Katherine cultivates meaningful partnerships that strengthen the organization’s impact and create opportunities for others to make a difference.

As CEO, Katherine provides strategic leadership across all aspects of the organization, including family programs, fundraising, finance, operations, and organizational culture. She leads a dedicated team of 27 staff members while advancing Family House’s mission, expanding services, fostering innovation, and ensuring families continue to receive exceptional care and support during life’s most challenging moments.

Before joining Family House, Katherine’s career spanned banking, higher education, museums, cathedral leadership, and nonprofit organizations, where she built a reputation for bringing people together around a shared purpose and creating lasting community impact.

Outside of Family House, Katherine is devoted to her own family, and passionate about the arts, LGBTQ+ advocacy, nature, and creating spaces where people feel welcomed and connected. A lifelong swimmer, she also serves on the Advisory Committee for There With Care and is an advisor for Women in Leadership at the University of San Francisco.
