The Nally Twins

When twins Paige and Gabreel Nally were born last May, they were 16 weeks early and had a long road ahead. Their premature birth came with many complications, including Paige going into an emergency surgery at five days old that she almost didn’t make it through. Their parents Holly and Justin had to relocate from Humboldt County to stay with the twins during the first months of their lives, and they landed at Family House.

“We don’t know what we would’ve done if Family House didn’t exist. We’d probably be living out of our car.” – Justin

Throughout their stay, Holly and Justin have found support and comfort in the meals, meeting other families with similar stories and outings to baseball and basketball games. “Even when you’re down and feeling crappy, Family House keeps spirits up,” said Justin.

Now eight months old, the twins have continued to grow stronger and hit developmental milestones. The Nally family is now coming to stay at Family House every other week, making the 6-hour drive from Humboldt to attend check-ups and physical therapy appointments. They will continue to travel back and forth for the next couple months, preparing for the twins’ laser eye surgery in March.

Your support means twins like Paige and Gabreel and parents like Holly and Justin have a place to call home during the most critical time of their lives.
